One Big Beautiful Bill Passes the House!

If the short act gets in it my prediction is that it dies in the House (if it's amended they have to vote again as part of conciliation iirc) and they will pass another continuing resolution instead. It narrowly went through the last time.

He voted no on this, if we get suppressors/short act it will be in spite of his principles. See that's why "Small Government Principled Conservatives" never actually get anything done. They're the same con artists as other politicians just with a different shtick.
One issue voting is also retarded.

If the bill had a provision that your first child gets to be raped forever by the government but we get the NFA removed, half of you retards would be screeching if it was struck down because of guns because you didn't bother to read the rest of what was in the bill.

We don't need less Massie. We need more like him.

You would be correct, there is SOME good in the bill, but as a whole it’s just more over spending and garbage per status quo of the last century!

As a whole this bill should be voted down, seeing as they will pass a similar version regardless, I say let’s just get the HPA through! Though they should amend it to fully deregulate suppressors and pre-empt states from banning them. Ideally they should state in the bill that suppressors are arms and fully protected by the 2A.

I recall CBO stating as much as 40% of entitlements are fraud. Too that with a massive amount of government spending with NGO kickbacks.. why the fuck haven't they been able to do more. USAID was just the start and aren't they still funding that shit in this bill?
The very fact we are even talking about this and accepting that it’s so bad that we should just take what we can get proves it’s passed time for us to abolish this gov. Just saying. That’s freaking sad. Please o please sir, you can do all this other bad shit but plz don’t stick it in with no lube. That’s basically what we are saying here.

What's the latest on no stamp required for suppressors? No one is talking?
I just read that President Trump is going to write the HPA and SHORT language into the bill right before he signs it. That big fat marker he uses will blot out some of the most offensive parts of the bill too, so win win. You can go ahead and start hack-sawing the barrel on Grampa’s Belgian Auto5.

(Jesus Christ jumping on a fucking pogo stick. There’s half a dozen threads, right here, all saying the same thing, and there’s still guys all “okay, so inhale where are we exhale with the HPA inhale and the short exhale language in the inhale bbb? I’ll just be inhale over here exhale reminding myself inhale to breathe exhale until someone types out an inhale reply that I exhale won’t read. Inhale exhale inhale exhale…”)

Is it Crying Chuck? Or Lying Chuck? Or Lying Crying Chuck? I like door number 3!

And liar.

And CNN will parrot it like it's your grandma losing here healthcare. That is if your grandma survived being locked up in an active COVID ward to die before she cost the state of NY any more money.

That they need to spend on illegals who will illegally vote for Chuck and his muslim buddies.

So now it's over, and we got partially shafted, sadly by the worst part of partial.

On the up side, a whole lot of my taxable income has been obliterated by the SALT thing.

It was far from a 'perfect' bill. But it did some really good things.

And proved that the Republicans can get things through that matter. AND they managed to put a lot of Trump's EO's into law. So much for him being a king and ruling by fiat.

And the best part is that we have at least another year + to look at the things that BBB did not do well enough... and have BBB 2.0. Or lots of little bills. That the democrats can rail against all they want. But they can be passed.

BBB is not the 'end' of legislation for this Congress. It is the beginning.

And it's a hell of a lot more than King Potato von Autopen did AT ALL... except to rule by executive orders. Oh, wait... he didn't know what time it was and thought he was a fireman or a stoat. Our government was in the hands of unelected American Socialist Party scum who controlled the Autopen. And their party Congress went along with it for four years... lying to protect their cabal and their autopen.

Maybe I'm being too optimistic... but this is a start. Not an end.

And while the republicans are off to a pretty good start, the left is dying on the hill of supporting Illegal Criminal Aliens, Transing children, Killing Babies, Cheering for Muslim Atom Bombs and Hamas. All things that are wildly unpopular with the American public.

Oh and their USAID and other money has been cut off.... billions used to subvert America. And their illegal voters are being sent home (or self-deporting). Their 'ersatz grass roots astroturf' organizations are being defunded and may be held accountable for fraud and worse.

So while I'd have liked to see some more in the BBB... and some less. I'm going to call it a win and ask for (hope for? Demand?) more wins.

Cheers,

Sirhr

The "trick," I think, will be to get the NFA removals done that didn't happen this time because of the Parliamentarian. She's still going to be there... perhaps. Whether or not they listen to her this next time around will tell the tale. Frankly, I'd like to see the entire NFA struck down, but that's probably pipe dreaming a bit. Like I said before, I think this is going to have to be done by "litigation" not legislation, because I don't think we can find enough vetted replacements for all the congress critters we'd need to primary in such a short time... if we could primary them all.

no dog in this fight really. wouldn't bother with suppressors. an SBR would be good. the whole NFA is obviously in violation of 2A. but,law suits go before judges. what chance do you see for an unbiased judge? pretty much 0.

I believe a tax stamp is still required (i.e. the registry stuff must be done). It's just that the tax stamp now costs $0.00 for cans and SBRs. Still $200.00 for Machine guns, Dangerous Weapons, and (I Believe) short barreled shotguns.
I don't quite understand what you are saying. Has anyone seen for sure what the bill says, and if so, when would this take effect, for I am thinking of getting another suppressor for a rimfire that is in stock now .Any insight will be appreciated. Thanks

Want to bet? They are going on summer break and then the short fall session starts then Christmas break. Which is the beginning of the next election cycle. They don't pass shit during that. A continuing resolution to keep the bills paid but zero for real legislation.
