WARNING on Freedom Munitions .308Win 168gr A-Max

Ok, not a fast learner, or didn’t reach out to the appropriate knowledge pool/SME’s, got it.
This would be a good opportunity for reloading lite, and I do have a bunch of once fired LC brass from Bullets First M118LR, although it’s not reloading lite at they point, but point taken.
For the record, the OP (me) will not shoot any more of that ammo - MESSAGE RECEIVED (HUA).
I did respond to Freedom on their questions, and had the documentation of the order; now to see what they’ll do.
1) if they replace it, good outcome.
2) if they refund me for the remaining ammo at what I paid ($0.80/rd vs price today $1.2/rd, good outcome
3) if neither of the above, my son just got a bunch of reloading equipment and I can try that route with the once-fired LC brass
I appreciate those ☝🏼who have been constructive in their feedback and guidance.

Wow, I don’t wish I’ll to anyone, but you’re definitely playing with karma with statements like that ☝🏼
I agree, Marc. I don't even wish Hildabeast Clinton ill health...its bad, bad juju. But I will throw a party when she croaks (hopefully I'll live that long! haha).

And it does seem that in-between all the standard SH snark and sarcasm that there were some lessons learned here that will be valuable going forward....especially the part about not continuing to shoot over pressure (or otherwise fucked up) ammo. It is a sad fact that people have blown up guns and been badly injured. Doesn't matter how good a deal a person gets on ammo, if its fucked then don't shoot it.

Cheers and best of luck. Hopefully they'll refund you and if not, be nice to your son and have him pull them down and reload them at a more reasonable pressure.

Got the danger involved - yeah, ignorant, which is why I’m here to begin with.

I've shot a ton of the Freedom 69gr 223 reman. For 46 cents a round when I bought them, it's been great ammo.

I have a lot of ammo that I purchased even earlier than that.
Me and most of my posse have ammo that's over 30yrs old ...... and it's perfect.
No one was insinuating that the age of the ammo had anything to do with the issues displayed.

That has nothing in to do with the discussion or my comment above.

So you’re going to keep shooting it anyway knowing full well it’s over pressure because you don’t want to throw away 700rd of junk ass ammo… you’re too damn dumb for you’re own good. Do you eat rotten leftovers out of your refrigerator because you don’t want to waste it? Or do you throw it in the trash?

That ammo is a hell of a lot cheaper than a blown up rifle or ER bill. Don’t expect any sympathy if you blow your shit up.

Pretty much all the 7.62 I was issued in the sand in 06/07 for my 240 was 60’s head stamped. Mind you, MG ammo is far from precision ammo, but I had good luck with it.

As far as the original post, I’m glad I didn’t have that kind of issues in 21 when Freedom was the absolute only place I found 175 BTHP for my first LRP course. I still had part of it left when I got my Bergara last year and it actually shot in that rifle reasonably well.

You should read the whole thread, and by the way your (not you’re) grammar is terrible.
