Accuracy International AT-X

Man it would be nice if TriggerTech would make a trigger for it and if we could get mlok instead of dickmod.

Mlok sucks. There seems to be no real standard on the fasteners. I bought an acc elite to put my vudoo in. Got the baker wings for shiggles and a set of gray ops weights ....had issues with the hardware on both accessories not wanting to lock up and chewing the cerakote up on the chassis. My AI ....Flawless with any of the accessories I have for it. No matter what the holes are shaped like, it works and the hardware is built like a tank.

Fairly certain the Key Slot also has wicked pull-out (heh) strength and a generally better return to zero. I like the fact that Key Slot is also flush - all the internal dingles of MLOK get in the way depending on barrel profile etc., made only worse if you've got a switch barrel rifle.

Nonsense. There is an explicit set of standards for MLOK. The wiki page has a pretty good overview but you can get the entire standard from Magpul. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M-LOK

Whether certain manufacturers adhere to those standards is a different story. Ironically, to my knowledge, AI has never published the standard for Keyslot. But MLOK absolutely has a standard for dimensions, fasteners, torque, etc. It has a full TDP.

I think you have shown a spotlight in your post on whats wrong with it.....magpul.

Mlok is great on carbines with skinny barrels and light weight handguards. It's not so great on precision rifles since the hardware protrudes into the barrel channel. The AI keyslot is technically better for precision rifles which use heavy barrels and have thick walled handguards. But it has downsides of lack of accessories and in looks.

I put the mlok rail on my AXSR just for looks. While doing so I know I'll never use the mlok because it's worthless since the hardware interferes in the barrel channel means I couldn't remove or change the barrel.

I prefer the look of the key slot!
