Ordered a couple bricks today. My Rimx does extremely well with Tenex above all, hoping for similar results..

With the Garmin being ubiquitous now, SD data should be quickly available. A few groups at 200+ and it will be obvious if this is another snake oil marketing scene like last time.

Hope fully they got it sorted out. Don't think Eley would release it again if they weren't confident it can deliver. Ordered a few boxes to chrono against a good lot of Lapua long range my gun likes, down to last brick and no luck replenishing so nice if theyre's another viable option.

Bottom is the first mag. Groups look like thar of the Gen 1. I'm not sure they have corrected anything. This is out of my 13TW. I'll try some out of my 16TW see if it like it better.

It definitely likes the 16TW better.

Will play with it at range to make the final call. Will say 2 boxes in, I'll not be purchasing any more. It just does not do what 20.00 a box ammo should IMHO.

Try it out at 100 or longer and let us know. I know that SLR just ok at 50 for me but better than my center X and Midas at 100.

My Eley Team/Match usually runs an SD of just over 8 for 20+ shot strings.

Yep out my Brux the slowest I’ve had as far as real numbers is with a lot that says 1044 but chrono’d at 1086. Most of it regardless of what the box says is 1100-1130 over a chrono

In my semi autos two different lots of the same speed SABR..1060 averaged 1119 over 50 rounds.

My 1072 averaged 1120 the other day. Not a really hot day though.

Regardless of what the box says- all Eley products have yielded 1115-1120 for me.

I got a RimX barreled action this week from a guy and started ammo testing. I found a lot of Match & Semiauto BR that shoot pretty good. The 20 shot group is the Match & the 35 group is the SABR. Both shoot well. Hart 24" barrel with
EC Tuner.

I'm glad I didn't bit on this new batch. Got 2.5" groups @300 in my Bergara with Eley Team so will just stay with for now.

SABR is my absolute go to in my KIDD rifles for semi auto NRL and PRS this year.
Have lot tested about 11 different speeds and though not all, the majority will run numbers equivalent to Lapua Center X and LR !

Tagging in to see how folks like the new version. I'll also pile on that I have been really impressed with SABR in my Volquartsen and Kidd rigs, and it's also shot really well in my CZ. No idea why but it seems to perform really well across a wide range of rigs.

Cleaned the barrel since it was seasoned for Eley match. Then shot 25rds of the Eley Ultra 2 before I started chronoing and shooting groups.

Really didn’t see a need to shoot anymore so seasoned my barrel back up with Eley Match. Then shot these groups at 100 with a lot of Tenex I had and two different lots of Match.

Then checking zero with the Eley that I shoot in matches. Kinda gives you an idea. Maybe if you find a good lot# of the Ultra it’ll shine but at this price point I’ll stick with Eley Match.

With the wind I wasn’t expecting .75 or smaller but the chrono numbers don’t lie. Almost 50fps spread would suck at distance.

For 20 plus a box, yeah that stuff isn’t doing well. The Eley Team flat nose does better in my stock 457 for almost 5 bucks less a box

I would never rule out trying a particular brand of ammo based on how it shoots in another persons gun. Also, this is only one particular lot. Like all match grade ammo, it will need to be lot tested. I have shot a lot of Eley Match and 10X over the years. Not all of it is good ammo either. Some lots can be really bad. Time will tell if this new offering from Eley is worth its cost. I won't base my opinion on one lot and one gun.

Very true, but I have truly moved on from Eley now. I have 2 1/2 cases of center X, 2 of Midas, last 7 bricks of SLR waiting on a case of it. I had tried some of the first edition just to see if they made a big advance, they had not and seems still have not.

My order went to the wrong FFL, so I can’t provide feedback until sometime next week. As some of you may know, my PVA barrel shoots almost anything pretty darn good, so keeping my fingers crossed….
