Dem lawmakers say their voters are threatening 'blood' and 'violence' over inability to hinder Trump: report

I think both you and akmike are misunderstanding Mike C's point: he's asserting that in Vietnam, Iraq and A-stan, had our government overlords let our military completely off the leash, they'd have razed those countries (and their fighters) to the ground.

And honestly I'm not really sure how you argue against that, and it's certainly not a claim that can be hand-waived away with "excuses".
It still wouldn’t be a quick one sided fight the way y’all pretend it would be. There were plenty of guys going against ROE in Vietnam who have talked about it

We're going to need uniforms....

So vietnam averages 42 miles in width..

42 miles x 5,280 ft= vietnam averages 221,760 feet wide.

At the peak, there were 543,000 soldiers deployed..

221,760 feet ÷ 543,000= .408. That's just over 5" per soldier.

That means we had enough troops in country that if they walked south to north holding hands, they wouldn't have even fit.

Now, tell me again how someone was trying to win that war?

i dont see any similarities between vietnam wars and a US CW 2. i wasnt comparing them.

you think any side will be centrally commanded, organized and well provisioned? how do you know who is against you and who is on your side unless they tell you?

a war on our soil citizen vs citizen will not be cut and dry, black and white, one side bombing the other.

i stand by my assertion about the casualties. its not the romantic fantasy most gun owners think it will be.

No, it would be the most horrible thing that Americans have ever experienced, and I hope it never happens.

I think plenty of countries would supply the left

ROE’s in Vietnam bordered on being ridiculous. Had to be there to understand. Even being under attack was not enough reason to fight back until permission was obtained. (At least on LZ Chippewa, we had a 1000 meter free fire zone so if they shot at us, they were automatically bad guys and we could return fire.)

As far as actual revolution, I really thought the conservatives should or would revolt against the biden puppet masters. However, the far left always seem to be the instigator of violence and if the violence is put down by humans with One Drop of Caucasian blood, it will be called white supremacy.

And I thought the 1960’s were a wild time.

Oh please. No soldier doesn't say his prayers at night and hope his enemy looks and acts like those worthless rejects.

"This wasn’t some sloppy stunt or lone nutcase trying to make a name for themselves. These terrorists came armed with rifles, body armor, radios, escape vehicles, and the whole nine yards. And when all was said and done, a local police officer was shot in the neck. Thank God, he survived."

How do two squads in full battle rattle with murder in their hearts, with the element of complete surprise, manage to wound a depity and all get captured? I mean, yea, they're terrorists because they intend to do violence to effect politics, but man, they are so worthless and pathetic it almost seems wrong to designate Aunt Tiffa terrorists. Like you're almost contributing to their cosplay delusions.

You need the terrorist designation so they can send the fbi after them. Then they can charge all members for crimes committed by any other members, like RICO. I believe this is correct.

They all look like the most average Reddit users who would throw a punch like this weak ginger in the hat....

That was probably their first time at a two-way range.
They were a bit shocked to find out how bullets can come at them too.

We’ve been constantly fighting wars for at least the last quarter century. A lot of the people who cycled through that process not only know what it takes to fight a war, but a lot of them now just want to sit on their porch, have a beer and be left alone. My opinion, it’s best people heed that advice.

Conflict always seems like a good idea, until it isn’t. If your casus belli is essentially destroying the country and the rule of law, maybe it’s time to rethink your life. Otherwise your gonna end up DRT like the one dirt bag or enjoying a prison shower with a bunch of ass pirates or carpet munchers for the next 10-20 years.

We have peaceful, lawful ways to resolve our differences. They’re not perfect, but if used correctly they resolve things sometimes through pure force of will and by the merits of your ideas and goals. Use them. Because these romantic ideas about “revolution” and war are nothing but ignorant fantasies easily disproven the minute the shooting starts.

Would be perfectly reasonable if there was access to justice dispensed on a level playing field.
Clearly that isn't the case.

Imagine if you were giving this speech in the late 1700's.

I don't think every poster on here thinks it will be romantic.
Perhaps they know it may still be worth it as done by our forefathers.

Top left #2, half way decent looking. She's still nuts though. Bottom left #2 is a toss up whether or not that's a dude, especially today. Bottom right looks like he doesn't even know his own name half the time, and also crazy eyes.
There are two people in that line up that don't look like mental ill drug addiction trash. Which agency you think they work for?

Violence is a domain of the ignorant. It’s a destination of last resort. But that shouldn’t give the impression I’m not willing to go there if forced. It’s a warning that if you do, I plan to build a throne with the skulls of my enemies and a scepter out of a femur.

That have been proven over & over to not work. You're wrong about the porch setters, they are just as pissed as we are for none of us, fought for what has been evolving past V/N.

Those who want the status quo to continue, are the same who benefit from it, period.

You haven't a choice when you are dealing with ignorant violent cult like opposition.
They haven't any reason, thus it is inevitable.
