I am looking for a highly regarded smith that can make a new barreled action using a CDG action they have on hand or they source inside 14 weeks lead time. Ideally they have Bartlein barrels or proof steel barrels in a reasonably thick competition type contour. 6 dasher chambering.

Anyone know of any smiths doing work have that short of lead time to completed product?

Edit: shoot barrel said in stock then said preorder, sorry

1 week lead

In stock

By a CDG from Ted (says ships in a week) then either;

1. Get a barrel that’s in stock from Bugholes and send it to Chase Fisher @FisherT&C to be spun. He’s very fast and does exceptional work. Then spin it on and stick a trigger on it.

2. Get a barrel Osprey barrel from Josh at Patriot Vally Arms and have him spin it. He also does beautiful work and for a premium over standard price they will do very fast turn around. Spin it on and stick a trigger in it.

Can’t remember Josh tag…anybody?

Never used Patriot Valley Arms before, but I am willing to give them a go. Tossing an order their way. Thanks.

These CDGs have gone up in price since I got one in the early release. Damn. Anyone else selling these for less as part of a package deal?

I just got back a CDG build from LRI. It did not meet the 14 week turnaround window you are looking for but when I sent it in was back in NOV. They do a lot of CDGs, but I'd call them first to verify what their ECD would be.

edit: You wont be disappointed with the PVA prefits, done 3 x barrels from them in the last 12 months, all are boring hammers to date.

I mean, you can build your own CDG without an issue basically overnight... using an MDT / Vision / Sphur / etc. chassis, Trigger Tech trigger, PVA barrel... and be ready to go in a few days.

Installing the BBL requires only the ARC CDG action wrench and borrowing a torque wrench.

I don’t think you understand. When I say CDG I mean the price of the action itself. I got in on the last one when they were announced and significantly cheaper. I can’t build my own action.

You seem to be confusing the action for a rifle using the action.

I think what he is saying is that once you buy an action, a prefit barrel, a stock or chassis and a trigger...you will only need an action wrench and a torque wrench to just assemble it yourself.

I have assembled dozens of rifles guys. F-Class, PRS, bench rest.

Someone has responded to the question asked several comments ago.

Is there anyone selling CDG actions for less than they are listed from ARC?
