What Action For a .308

.308 will have 5X the barrel life a 6 Creedmoor will and probably double what a 6.5 Creedmoor does. Not interested in prefits to pull a barrel once a year and ruin the bedding, I'm not building a chassis rifle and I don't care to wait 8-9 months on a barrel. So getting 5k rds on a barrel is high on the list.
This is correct. 308 over creedmoor every time. If you are the guy who is happy replacing his barrel every year or two to dial less for drop, skip the creed and get a 6.5 PRC.

It turned out just fine. Short and sweet, resembling an XM3 but on a BAT Bumblebee.

Pic of the rifle and final load zeroed at 100 yards with 10 shots of 185 Berger Jugg. Couldn't ask for more.

Imma just gonna need you to move that dime now and take another picture... because, reasons ;) .

So far no complaints on the action other than something that I notice on this action that I have never picked up on with any other action I've shot. When I chamber a round and close the bolt, I have to apply extra pressure moving forward or the bolt seems to have this weird hitch and won't close. Maybe it's normal for that action. I've never given it a second thought after leaving the range.

McMillan did the inlet and Jon Beanland built the rifle. I have yet to take it to any kind of distance but so far out to 300 yards it's been the most accurate rifle I have owned.
