Fab defense recoil reducing stock

Recently picked this up on DVOR as kind of joke.

I'm actually surprised how well it works. I'm sure the fact the stock moves can't be amazing for accuracy but at 100 yards mine hasn't really been affected, and my shoulder certainly feels better after a long day at the range. Adds a little give when you load the bipod as well.



It has three settings, currently I'm on medium but I'll probably experiment with the other ones. I added some suede to the cheek piece, which is adjustable. I haven't really seen anything else like it on the market which begs the question of why? I've def seen some recoil reducing features on newer rifles but this is the first shock absorber style one I've seen for the AR.

In response to your question of why arent there others on the market I would hazard a guess that because there is so little to no demand perhaps?

I mean, its not like a 5.56 has any recoil to start with right?

Not to be a bitch, but with the damage on my shoulders and collarbone even 556 starts to hurt after a while.

same stock fits large frame AR's.

I see plenty of enhanced "butt pads" for sale, lots of muzzle devices advertise recoil reduction - clearly there is a market for recoil reducing items.

I tried to buy one for my Mossberg 12 gauge but was denied as they can not ship to north north california.

Usually I can do one or two range trips a week and only feel like i was in a fight.

I went three times last week and still feeling fine.

I've been running it full time, long rifle, short rifle, prone, standing, kneeling, move and shoot drills, so far I'm a fan.

I'd put it at a healthy 20% on medium. I haven't bothered using the light or heavy settings yet.

As soon as I get around to dragging my 6.5 cm mars-H out I'll try it on there on the hard setting. They give you inserts for milspec and commercial buffer tubes as well.

all in all, worth the DVOR price of $70 including shipping.

Sounds pretty slick. The check riser setup along with the price has my eye. Might be nice on a large frame.
