Cleaning the leade area only per Lilja instructions question

My guess is to follow their directions, you'd have to use a cleaning loop because a jag would allow patch to fall off correct? Their instructions are,
(We suggest cleaning in the following manner. After approximately 100 rounds push a dry loose patch through the barrel from the breach end. This pushes out loose fouling. Then take a tighter dry patch and work it back and forth about 10 times in the leade area, pushing it out of the barrel at the muzzle end when finished. ) The patch would fall off of a jag using the back and forth motion. They don't say to use a loop but, seems the only way I know of, to keep the patch in place. Pushing dry loose patch out muzzle could be done using a jag for the first step. Also, are these jags worth it to prevent false positives of copper fouling? If so I'll order one Thanks! (y)

No jag, just do the back and forth scrubbing with the caliber appropriate nylon brush and wrap said brush with a patch as he mentioned to push through.
The size patch will determine how tight is is to push through.

Get a bore tech 22 rimfire jag and 1/8” patch and it will not fall off just working the chamber. Better way of doing it is get on amazon and buy 22 cal ram rods. They are q tips that are the same size as a 22 chamber.

Push a dry patch down

Soak ram rod in bore tech C4 and put in the chamber to soak. Work it around in the chamber then soak another one and put it in for 15 min and walk away.

Get a bore tech nylon brush put C4 on it and do about 10 spins back and forth in the chamber only and let it sit for 15 min.

Clean it all out and carbon ring should be gone. I verify with bore scope but if you do that c4 will get it out pretty easy

A loop isn't really necessary, a bore mop or a patch wrapped brush will soak the chamber, after 15 minutes remove the patch and brush the chamber a bit. Follow with a wet patch, 2 or 3 dry and last a lightly oiled patch pushed completely thru...done.

Well, looking around I already have the Ramrods. I thought about doing that before but, was afraid the cotton might come off the stick inside the Chamber/Leade?

When I can find some of the C4 cleaner, and get a few more rounds through it I'll give it a go. I've only got 75 rounds through so far. I've only got to shoot at 25yds till I can get to the range. Just found a box of Eley Match locally that was a surprise. Where I'm at it's almost impossible to find match ammo. I guess there isn't a large demand for it.

It really is this easy..

Like every other rim fire “carbon ring, etc”

There prob 100 threads about this exact topic and the all finish the same.

Consensus from all the barrel mfg..clean rifle after every range session and never worry about it.Quality chemicals, no home brew crap.
