300 whisper advantage over 308 sub sonic???

theoretically speaking is there any advantage over running a 300 whisper instead of a 308 if trailboss powder is used??? I have a 7.62sd can and was going to buy a 300 whisper until I read some of the 308 sub sonic post, is a 308 just as accurate with the larger case capacity as the 300 whisper would be??? or does the 300 whisper have some hidden advantage in the sub sonic realm that im not seeing, I would think that the 308 would be the way to go, I would assume you could have a 1000 yard/sub sonic rifle all in one but, im sure if this is the case someone else on here has already done it, any input would be appreciated thanks, Joe

I don't have one yet but from all the reading I've done most people have to use a filler in the case for .308 sub loads to keep ES under control.

Also a properly setup .300whisper AR will cylce and function with subs. The same can't be said for .308.

I have a savage 10 FP in .308, it will shoot moa to 1k most of the time, and I shoot 220gr subsonics out of it with groups averaging 1.5 in. at 100 yds and as good as 4-5 inches at 300 yds. I've never had a whisper so I couldn't tell you about it, but my .308 works so well at both jobs I wouldn't even consider limiting myself to the whisper.

for a bolt gun I would run subsonic 308 with Trailboss. I have had very good luck with it in a Rem 700, a ruger in 243, and a M1A in 308. The M1a would not cycle though.
I have been running 1"-1.25" in a Rem. 700 SPS, HS PSS take off stock, MK4 4.5-14 and a AAC Cyclone.

The only advantage that I see of the 300 whisper is running in a gas gun because you can get it to cycle. I run a 300 whisper with my m16 and it is a blast!
