Subsonic 308 With Green Dot

I haven't loaded subsonic 308 in about ten years. I want to shoot subs in a 16" barrel I've got. Trail boss was my go to back then but I guess now it's gone.

I've been reading some old thread that Green dot will work.

I've got some left over and was wondering if anyone can share their data in 308win. I've got 190 sub x and 213 eld's to load.

I can't find any published data for it

There is a section for subsonic reloading on the 308 WIN page on the Hodgdon web site.
It doesn't show all powders, just the ones under their brands, but they have several powders shown that you can still find.
I'll clip in a sample.

Thank you. I'm aware of those powder's but looking specifically for Green Dot.

For anyone interested I loaded 9.2gr Green Dot in LC case with a 210m primer and a 190 sub X at 2.7oal

Velocity was 1120 average.
Out of a 16" 1-11 twist SS barrel.

Going to bump it down to 8.8 and 8.5 to see what velocities are.

Also going to try some charges of green dot with 212 eldx

Sub X didn't like feeding from AW mags. About a 2" group at 100. Very quiet though.

The 212 eldx feed perfect and shot about the same. Seems the powder will work and get decent accuracy. I worry about case fill though.

Ok so I was able to get some rounds out today.
1. I used the Hodgdon manual for H4895 and 175 sub-x. Every round was not subsonic when shooting. I have attached the chrono results.

2. I shot 5 rounds with Titegroup at 8.5 grains with 175 sub-x and chrono wasn’t working right but definitely not quite like I was hoping.

3. I then tried 8 grains of Clays with the 175 Sub-x and every round was nice and quiet with a nice group. Chrono data is also attached and you can see I was at roughly 1100fps.

Titegroup shots are also attached. This is the target with the extra dots for covering holes.

Clays group is next. I had one I pulled. Not a bad group. Again only 50 yards and will try farther later next week. Also going to try with 190g sub-x with 8 grains of Clays. No longer going to try the Titegroup or H4895
