I’m surprisingly pleased at the amazing quality and function of my MDT Ckye-Pod2 Competition Bipod. The dual extension legs glide open and close with a silky precision, and the release levers have the perfect tension and hold precisely. Everything has a feel of precision, and the legs can be moved to various angles changing the stance as needed. The front tension knob adjusts the cant adjustment, and the bipod can be rotated or locked in place. The mount will fit an ARCA or picatinny rail.

I like my Atlas Bipods, but this MDT Ckye-Pod2 is in a different league.

Agreed. Incredible bipods.

I have a LW double pull. I don't have a standard double pull to compare it to (yet lol), but I am completely happy with my purchase. It's just as stable as any other high end bipod I've used.
Damn you guys aren't making it any easier to not buy one lol. The triple pull is great but it's a lot of weight for hunting and NRL. The double pull lightweight seems perfect.

Sorry don't mean to hijack the thread but two more questions about the lightweight double pull:

Does anyone have an exact weight on it with the BTC Arca/picatinny clamp? MDT says "starting from 20oz" and I'm not sure what to make of that.

An earlier reviewer (in 2022) mentioned that the legs could extend on their own when carrying the rifle muzzle down. Is this still a thing or was it addressed?

The legs on mine have never extended on their own while carrying muzzle down. They've extended when I snagged them on stuff a couple times, but not from their own weight hanging down.

I don't know the weight, but if no one else helps you before then it I can weigh mine when I get home today.

Hey thanks I appreciate the info! Yeah the guy said they were constantly just sliding open but he was also griping about the price.

I appreciate the offer to weigh it. No rush. The wording made it sound like 20oz was without the clamp or something.

Oh and sorry one other question I cant find on the MDT site, can you lock out or somehow disable the pan feature like on the regular Ckyepods?

Thanks so much for the info! Hearing yours doesn't pan anyways is great. That modification is a bit ambitious but I suppose a person could probably put a thin piece of tacky rubber or even a drop of epoxy between the two surfaces.
