yep....my wife had an x ray machine in her animal hospital and the badges got sent out for checking i helped at times and had a lead apron to wearmaybe they only used lead lined drywall walls facing the radiology office, because they typically wear badges that have to be checked regularly.
Not named as a defendant.Intermountain is a huge healthcare system. They’ll have the $$$$.
At least one contractor is about to get fired. The (most likely) worthless inspector should probably get canned as well. Not named as a defendant.
the entire room should have been shielded, and the plans would have to reflect that (even if there wasn't a building next door). Also, the article also doesn’t say that there was no shielding in the lab walls. It says that there was no shielding in the wall separating the CT lab from an adjoining practice. To my totally untrained mind This sounds like a terribly unfortunate oversight, specifying shielding for the newly constructed interior walls, but omitting the wall between the practices- either at the design or installation level. Of course, the scatter test should have revealed the issue. Why did it not? Was the test faulty? Were the results pencil-whipped?
Yeah, we are on the same page. Just pointing out some errors in understanding. So, why was that wall not shielded? That will be the question that needs to be answered- after who was affected, how badly, and how much $$$.the entire room should have been shielded, and the plans would have to reflect that (even if there wasn't a building next door).
they either didn't get the plans, or they ignored them.

Shoot ‘em after dark.
Never pay off a lawsuit when you can claim Chapter 11!!
Sirhr
Well, the issue is staring us right in the face. The plans are in English, the drywall guys don't read, write, or speak English.the entire room should have been shielded, and the plans would have to reflect that (even if there wasn't a building next door).
