I agree there is a good bit of this “virtue by being victim”. Autism though is very much a far greater problem than years ago and far less of a problem in many countries.

Agree. It is up. And that food, pharma sales and the vax cocktail that is now injected into every kid (and parent) are among causes.

And that meant having to fund their degrees/fund homes for them in every school. Starting in the ‘90’s every bimbo in teachers college suddenly wanted to be a special ed teacher. Because it required no brains. Unlike a math teacher or science teacher. So stupid emo girls could get degrees.
Massive amounts of money being poured into a parallel “special ed” universe in schools. Creating double the union-dues-paying commie teachers. Double school budgets. Double classrooms. Double teachers assistants. Double property taxes. Double dept of education.
Entire industries for lobbying, supporting, getting rich off autism and the retard world. With huge NGO bureaucracies pouring money into politic campaigns… money collected from taxpayer funding and endless begging by Hollywood stars. Where is that money spent? Huge salaries for these grifters… and on nanny state politicians.
The adoption of the “screen” instead of the world can’t be helping in brain development. Getting kids hooked in phones and TV’s and iPads at 12 months can’t be good for brain development.
Parents who are so pharma’d themselves that they are incapable of producing anything but potatoes. Including both Pharma and recreational pharma… shooting blanks used to be the worry. Now they are shooting out potential lizard kids and more flipper babies than Thalidomide managed to create on its worst day

The endless chemical cocktails coming from everywhere. Food, air, car interiors, carpet, makeup, clothes, bedding… it’s all dangerous chemicals. Better living through chemicals? Right!

So not all food and vaxxes. Big big money (and political powers. Jobs for useless idiots with expensive college degrees. Virtue signaling. Lots of other environmental factors. And testing methods designed to make more autism. Follow the money!! As usual.
Is it a problem? Yeah. But is is as much of a problem as the tens of millions of animals being born every year in urban areas who are literally dead end predators while we focus on autism?
Which one is destroying the fabric of society? The kid that can’t make change at McDonalds? Or the 40 kids who think hacking off limbs is reparations?
