Apparently, it was awarded to opposition leader Maria Corina Machado in Venezuela. My understanding is, eligibility ran out on Jan. 31, 2025 and Trump hadn't been in office long enough. The decision was made by the Nobel committee the Monday before the Mid-East Peace deal was signed. Hmmmmmmmm......

Everyone is hopeful for 2026, though. We shall see.

In addition to Obama, they gave the prize to Al Gore for climate change, Jimmy Carter, Yasser Arafat, and Woodrow Wilson, and that's who I remember off the top of my head. If I were Trump, I'd be perfectly okay not being counted amongst those pieces of shit.

Pretty sure Hitler got it too.

    nope, just nominated. my bad.

they gave it to the United Nations in 2001. wow. child sex trafficers of the globe, the United Nations.

I'd have to agree, given the people you mention above. Tells you a lot about the political orientation of the committee. Sort of the same thing as Time Magazine's "Person of the Year." Let's see who gets that one, this year.

I think conservatives need to have their own award. It sucks to have two separate awards, but it looks like it will be necessary.

another useless globalist jerk off. in a way disappointing that Trump cares. he is not what he claimed he is and what many voted for him for. domestic-yes something is being done that needs doing. foreign? in no way is he doing anything that is in our national interest. on the other hand,he has only started 3 wars. Obama started 5 or 6 or so.
also interesting that the prize went to a little known player in the Venezuela affairs. anti Maduro, who is indeed a corrupt communist dictator like Chavez was. wonder if that means anything?

Refreshing to encounter someone else who has taken the red pill. Blind faith is just that, blind, and as a wise carpenter said, "Blind lead the blind and both fall into the ditch."

Granted, he inherited a shitshow from JoeyB, and I voted for Orangeman, and would again given the alternative, but what has he really done, other than puff himself up. I see no reason he should have gotten a peace prize. My gas is still high, food is out of sight and going up every time I go the the grocery.

While I encourage the removal of illegals, note the math from before. 1000 per week = 50,000 per year, so it will take 60 years to get them all out, and it wont include the Chinee or MidEast terroists who are safely embedded. Where are the 8 wars he's ended? Boots on the ground in Gaza, big mistake. Bibi is likly to have some of them killed and blame it on those nasty Gaza people to suck us in deeper.

Did I say, fuck Bibi and Israel?

Settle down. You wouldn’t be on here typing shit if it wasn’t for Al Gore. Member

the prize became meaningless after they gave it to obama anyway.
that said, it would be nice for him to get it if only because the dems won't like it.

Which is probably why DJT won't ever get it, because they're afraid they'll get cancelled by their woke constituency.

That's where we conservatives have to step in and say, "We cancel the Nobel committee..." and create our own award.

They gave it to black Jesus within weeks of his election. Nothing they say is honest. Bunch of leftist Swedish socialist fuck wits.

Trump needs to establish his own Nobel prize and start by giving it to Charlie Kirk.

And here I thought the committee was racist. Obama got the peace prize for simply getting elected. Trump cannot because he is white. (Okay, orange but definitely not black or hispanic.)

    WTF? 1000 a day is 365,000 a year.
Common core maths, or do you have a reeeeeeeealy short year?
Edit. I guess that's what happens when you do philosophy at uni and not engineering or maths or something where the facts matter

No, thats what happens when you dont proofread. I meant 1000 a week which makes my math work just fine. But even at 1000/365,000 per year still equals 10 years and theres no way there actually doing that many, 1000 a week is a strech.

And you know nothing about philosophy. It shows.

to be fair, they typically award it to dissidents and that ilk...
but they gave the peace prize to the european union one year, so they gave it to bolshevik anti-christian genocidal organizations as well.

Yeah, sorry about that. I'm a bit busy working to consider the finer points of what you meant rather than what you said.

looks like FL here is loosing the gas war. averaging about $3.20 which is still a big improvement over $3.90 or 4+.

I have seen some reductions, recently, in Pasco County. Still, I concur with FL "losing" the gas war. I attribute it to 1) the demand for gas in FL (all the driving that's done here); and 2) the lack of refinery facilities in FL and the costs associated with transporting it here. That, and the taxes. Most of the price of a gallon of gas is tax. And since FL has no income tax and low property taxes, they have to get the revenue from somewhere. Gas tax seems like a perfect place to impose the tax as it's easier to hide it there (no one recognizes it). Same thing with tobacco taxes.

Supply, demand, and taxes. I think most of that makes gas prices higher.

I see more and more calls for Pres. Trump to create/sponsor his own "Trump Peace Prize" in direct competition to the Nobel awards. I don't have a problem with that. After all, Alfred Nobel did this himself. He was a chemist that was credited with inventing "dynamite." He left his fortune to the society that would administer the "peace" awards, realizing the destructive power of what he had invented.

If the Nobel committee wants to focus on leftists, Trump can do the same thing and focus on America First people. We'll see which organization builds/retains their credence in society over time. The Nobel awards aren't "cannon..." not yet. And we America First Folks can cancel them.

    We should.

That's not the point or what the orange man wants at all. Trump wants to win the most coveted of the globalist trophies to occupy every last nook and cranny inside the heads of the left. An alternative trophy will never be legit, you have to defeat the enemy in their space.

And one could wait forever and ever for that to happen (which they probably would have to do).

Or, one could create their own award and draw the public away from the original one... making that new one the "most coveted." One need not defeat the enemy in their space when you can take the soldiers away from the enemy and out of that space, having them join yours.... I'm thinking that will take far less time than waiting for one of us to be accepted in that old space.

paid $2.90 yesterday in Levy. jumps around a bit here and in Citrus. distance from the distributors is a big factor for sure. little isolated rural places always $.20 higher than larger towns.

weird. still don't get the giving it to a FM Venzie CIA/Israel shill. maybe setting her up in the planned regime change op? jacking up Venezuela with the navy and bombing speed boats is typical Trump foreign action stupidity.
yes, tuning up the west hemisphere is a needed move. but Mexico is the enemy,a narco terrorist run shit hole on our border with a Jewish pres. no way NOT installed by the narcos. helped in by Israel? happily served as a door way for 20 mil criminals, goat fuckers and Chinese fighters. they have been raiding our SW since the early 20th cent. we definitely need another Black Jack Pershing move using the best troops we have, not the NG. same goes for the cities. Trump is trying to get that right. seems popular with the citizens in the affected cities. not the pols, antifa and judges, but fuck them.
yes a risk using the army in country but there is really no choice. IF the working people in America eventually go over the edge,a civil war here would soon go racial. make the 90s Balkan fighting look like a grade school picnic, more like Russian civil war.

What I wonder is why anyone even gives a shit about those stupid awards. They don't mean fuck all. Just another way of these elitist assholes to pat themselves and each other on the back for nothing.

If it wasn't for seeing this thread, I wouldn't have even known they were getting handed out again.
