Stabbed many a paper oil can while working at a full service truck stop , gas station with one. Also used the drip oil in my first vechile from turning it upside down in a gallon sized STP metal can to drip in till next customer ....

Didn't British Leyland Motors also build a V12 engine in the 1970s? They put it in the Jaguar "E" type (XKE) and then the XJ type as a hyped up "XJ6" variety.
Packard had an early start with V12 engnes but the 1650 was not one of their designs,

Brought back great memories. Used the above to add diesel-fuel additives to the fleet's 18-wheeler saddle fuel tanks before I fueled them up. How about the hand-pump on the 55-gal oil drums that clockwise then counterclockwise to bring up the oil.
Yes the rails are decommissioned. Get caught riding one on active rails and I would expect a trespassing ticket.
No way the rails aren't decommissioned in fact I am pretty sure it would be illegal to to that on an active railroad.
We have several tracks around here that have been decommissioned some are ridden others are hiking trails now

We drove up Phantom Canyon road which was an old gold train route a couple weeks ago. We went to an old cemetery down by Cimmaron NM that went down an old track also.
There are quite a few out here, but most don't have track anymore. There is a long one that runs east west some Russian billionaire bought to run grain on. The Chinese were in the process of ripping it out to sell for scrap, when he went to court and forced its sale to him, based on a old law that you couldn't scrap train tracks if someone could use them. Or something like that. The Chinese company ripped out all the electronics and stuff to try to argue it was unusable. So now he can only run 30mph on it.
I wonder if he would let people ride. His rail, (not like dirtyD) it runs from eastern CO into Western KS. Supposedly he is real nice personable guy, according to his publicist.
All I know is what I rmeber from an article anyway. 
And don’t forget the refillable glass bottles that were refilled from the barrel at the station
