I have a Tikka Super Varmint barrel in 6.5 Creedmoor with 1,860 rounds through it. It was averaging ~0.5 MOA (with a mean radius of 0.20 MOA) for 5-shot groups at 100 yards. The last couple of range sessions it's been opening up to ~0.75 MOA (with a mean radius of 0.26) on average. I'm thinking it may be time for me to consider replacing the barrel but 1,860 rounds seems like a low round count for a cold hammer forged barrel. I mean, 0.75 MOA, isn't considered horrible by some people. Am I just expecting too much (e.g. Is it normal for peak accuracy to lost longer in a 6.5 Creedmoor or is going from 1/2 MOA to 3/4 MOA normal at nearly 2,000 rounds)?
Velocities were very consistent with an average SD in velocity of ~6 FPS. I was shooting 143 grain ELD-X bullets, which it have shot really well in the past. That said, I've seen inconsistency from Hornady 140 and 147 grain ELD-Ms (one lot shoots amazing...Another lot shoots terrible). I'm going to try some other bullets and see if maybe I got a bad lot of 143 grain ELD-X
