Bottom metal question

I'm debating getting a Manners T4A from another Hide member, but the stock has already been inletted for a Badger Surgeon BM. I currently have an HS Precision with a CDI BM. My plan was to buy the manners and move the BM over to save a few $$.

Does anyone know if the CDI and the Surgeon are close enough to make the change? Or am I just better off selling the HS with the CDI BM together and just putting the $$ towards the Manners and a new Surgeon BM? I really like my CDI, so I could be happy with either.

Re: Bottom metal question

Sell the CDI with the old stock and buy a Badger set. Don't waste your time and money trying to make it fit.

Yeah, thats where I'm leaning right now.

On a side note, I was wrong, it's inletted for a surgeon BM not Badger. It's pretty much a wash on cost for the BM, but I'm not sold on the Surgeon's design that supports the mag fore and aft. does it really speed up mag changes? It just seems likes it's more metal hanging down to snag on stuff.
