Sorry about that 25MAN is correct, For me, 142 SMK's group in with the 140's.

Bullet stabilization has as much, if not more to do with length as weight. For instance,the 130 Berger VLD actually takes a faster twist to stabilize it than the 140 VLD. If 2 bullets are the same length and shot at the same speed; the heavier one will be easier to stabilize.

The 142's will be fine from a 1:8.5 twist.

142's will work just fine. I'm running a 6.5 Lapua with a Kreiger 1 in 8.5 twist and SMK 142's. Shoots lights out.
