Rifle Scopes SS 5-20x50 Durability/Reliability

Can anyone comment on this? I am considering one for a 300WM but have a couple reservatons. I can't find a written warranty statement any where and I just want to know support will be there years from now. I have also considered the Vortex which has a lifetime warranty. My budget just won't allow for a NXS or other more expensive scope right now.

SWFA has a warranty on SS products that's equal to Vortex. It's not written on paper with the scopes, but if you have any questions, call SWFA to confirm.

Both companies have iron clad, no BS warranties and either will take care of you.

Thanks for reply MP15. Think I've made my mind up on the SS. Now I just need to find a deal. It looks like in previous posts there was a group buy that had the 5-20x50 illum at $1000. It's now $1500! I need a group buy.

Don't hold your breath for another group buy. Your best bet will be to look on SWFA's sample list or better yet in the classifieds on this site. You can usually find one in the $1200 - 1300 range for the illuminated version.

From all accounts, even at $1500 it's a good deal if you need that much scope.

I got in on the group buy at $1000 and I like it so much I just bought another one at $1500 because I still think it's the most scope for the money out there right now. I feel clarity wise the scope is great and the big eye box/relief makes it easy to use. Out of the box quality has been perfect on both of mine and no problems so far after limited use.
