Is CDI's inletting good to go?

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has had CDI inlet a stock for a Savage Short action centre-feed (4.4" spacing)? If I send them a stock for inletting, can I expect to be able to assemble the DBM and rifle as soon as I get it back, or will I need to do some tweaking on the action or inlet?

Thanks,

Heronion

Re: Is CDI's inletting good to go?

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm glad that I can just send the stock instead of the action, and still have a perfect fit (saves some cash on shipping). I hear nothing but good news about Jeff. Hopefully this spring I'll have him inlet my B&C A2. Thanks again.

Re: Is CDI's inletting good to go?

Jeff did the inlet on my Savage stock without the action, and it was plug n play no problems. He is a very easy guy to deal with....he even CALLS BACK if you leave him a message.

Re: Is CDI's inletting good to go?

Got mine in Friday for my Savage build from Jeff, fit like a glove. Jeff is GTG

Re: Is CDI's inletting good to go?

Absolutely! His inletting on my HS Precision was perfect. Well worth the money.

Re: Is CDI's inletting good to go?

Jeff inletted my Choate for a Savage with his bottom metal and there was a problem with the inletting. Jeff replaced the stock without question and had me send him the old one for a post mortem, judging by the replacement (perfect inlet) he learns as he goes. Jeff stood behind his work 100% and I ended up with a great stock.

Re: Is CDI's inletting good to go?

Anyone mind posting some pics of the inlet he did and the DBM setup on the different Savage stocks? This is definitely in the near future for me!!! More than likely on a B&C medalist.

Re: Is CDI's inletting good to go?

I had my rifle inletted by jeff and he's definitely good to go. Responsive to e-mails and patient with all my questions.quick turn-around also.

Does any of you all possess some photos of inletting on a Savage B&C short action 4.4" spacing? If so, posting them would be much appreciated.

Re: Is CDI's inletting good to go?

I will second what everyone else has said, Jeff inletted an A-5 for me, it came back perfect.

Re: Is CDI's inletting good to go?

He has done several for me. The work is excellent. He is top drawer to deal with too.
