I know the 338s shoots the 300 pill great.But what other pills do you guys use for long range shooting and hunting.Just wanted to see what other options i had.I just ordered my Tac 338 from Stiller's going to build a Norma or Lapua have not decided what one yet.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

.338 Norma handles the OAL of 300gr bullets a bit better to get the backside of the bullet out of the powder column and still maintaining and utilizing the entire mag if you so choose.
For my TRG the 300's will work, but the bullet will take up more case capacity to be able to mag feed, meaning I lose the benefits of the extra case volume. So most of the time I shoot 250's for LD. I haven't used it to hunt yet, and I'm not sure that I will anytime soon. If I regularly hunted elk it would be a different story.

Right now I use the 250 Scenars and 250 SMKS for long range. Upon release I will try the 250 gr Berger hybrids for LD. If they have a hunting jacket that comes out, I'd choose that as well.

SVG308- I am also running the the Seekins DBM on my LM and am shooting the 300 grain pills around 2700fps out of a 26'' Rock. What is your OGIVE and COAL of your rounds?
Also what bullets are you loading?

My ogive length is 3.035 with an OAL of 3.790 with 300SMKs. 94g of Retumbo.
