i am in need of an 338 blank
the rifle it is going on is a 110 ba savage
i saw another post that posed a similar question the main difference between post as far as i can tell i will be buying in the next two weeks if i can get one.
stainless preferred but it is going to get coated any way so it doesn't matter
the twist can be either 8, 9, or 10.
i would prefer an un-turned blank but a heavy contour that goes to .920 at the muzzle would be ok .

the reason i am posting is because i cant seem to find any in stock at my normal places. after calling around to a few friends the soonest i can get a blank will be end of May or early June.

thanks for your time and information

Re: 338 un turned blank

Check with Field here on SH, he had one for sale a week or so ago. I dont know if it sold or not though.

Re: 338 un turned blank

Call Dan Lilja. He has a fast turn around time on barrels. Bought several from him in the past.

Re: 338 un turned blank

I'd second Lilja. His barrels are outstanding. You might check with PacNor as well. Last time I looked they had some .338 barrels in the ready to go list. Not sure what contour or if they were chambered....
