Any F-Class comps coming up soon in Central Indiana? I would love to find one so I can finally get a chance to try it.

Thanks,

Re: Central Indiana

we are putting one on near evansville at red brush rifle range on april 22. It'll be a 3x500 and 20 shot strings.

Re: Central Indiana

Dang, gotta be on Sunday....shot an IDPA match there a couple weeks ago. Shot a tac rifle match there long time ago when it was on Saturday.

So, April 1st is a 3x600 it says. Do you mind to explain that to me with a little detail? This will be my first attempt.

Thanks for any help.

Re: Central Indiana

a 3X600 match is 3 strings of fire at 600 yards. You'll be in the pits to pull and mark the targets in the pits for 3 strings as well.

Re: Central Indiana

Any tips to prepare for 600 if my longest range is 200 yds? I appreciate any help on this as this part has me the most nervous. Thanks

Re: Central Indiana

Take some extra rounds for sighters, relax, ask questions as needed, but most importantly have fun. Also at camp atterbury, be sure to email the person for the info for the gate. It mentions it on their web page.

Re: Central Indiana

If I get there early will they allow me extra time to shoot some sighters? Are there any data sources that show if I am shooting this group at 100 yards then this is how many clicks to be on at 600?

Re: Central Indiana

Probably not before the match, but most places ive been are pretty open with the time. what are you shooting? that'll give a better idea on some basic adjustments. 600 isnt too bad to get on paper.

Re: Central Indiana

I am shooting a Savage 308 with 26" criterion barrel. 178 Amax over 43g of Varget. I do not have a chrony yet.

Re: Central Indiana

Just want to let you know we are now planning to make the trip up to camp atterbury for the match on the first. I'll be the bald guy with glasses and a goatee thing, white ford ranger and camper, shooting a green stocked savage.
