Rifle Scopes Swfa vs. Falcom menace

I need a scope soon. I looked at the swfa mil mil but i dont know if i want to want a unknown time. I thought of the falcon 5.5-25x50 mil mil. I have 500 swfa trade in credit so thats my price range. Or do you guy had better luck with another scope. Or shoulf i wait for the swfa and i plan on finding something else to buy.

Its hard to follow your post, I would get a SWFA scope over a Falcon Menace tho.

Of your two choices, I'd go SWFA. Also, Vortex has some good stuff in the $500 range, but many models have the same problem you complain about being back-ordered and having to wait.

The last time I checked, with the Falcon if you need to make a warranty claim or you need repair, you have to send it to the UK.

What is your plan with the scope? It would be better to wait and get what you want. Of the two scopes, the swfa is a better choice. But do some research.

The SWFA is a better option over the Falcons. Also take a look at the Bushnell Tactical scope.

Work couple extra days and get the weaver tactical. It'll only be like 150 more if you match it with midway amd their coupon to swfa

The Falcon has the advantage of being a variable.

You don't have to send your scope to the UK, you would return it to SWFA (they would return it to UK and most likley just replace your scope).

The SWFA is a better scope with a much better warranty. They also hold their value really well.

I have a falcon 4-14 and have been very pleased with it. It works very well and the glass is really quite suprising considering the price.

The SWFA is in a different class from the Falcon.

I'd wait for the mil/mil SWFA or look at a Burris MTAC, Weaver, and Vortex PST.

Which SS are you looking at ? You must compare apples to apples and at what pricepoint are you looking ?

I have a fixed 16 SS that is a good durable scope that tracks very good and has served well . Mil MOA , and Glass that is fair for a scope at its price ~250 bucks

I have a 4 - 14 Falcon , gen 2 that's optical quality is far superior to the SS 16 in every way . Maybe I got lucky , but the glass is very very good for a scope at this price . Mil Mil , FFP and variable . It tracks on the money and , and 1600 rounds on a 223 is still trouble free . Great scope for ~350

I also have a 5 - 20 SS HD that's quality is far Superior to the Falcon in every way . Don't have to preach the quality of these here , just do a little research , but now your looking at ~ 1200

Apples to Apples ?

Notice his location and his signature, and then read through some of his previous posts. I'm hoping the mental diarrhea via keyboard is just an attempt to get to 100 posts so he can sell, I can't imagine he would think it's actually useful to anyone. Comes down to how rigid your price limit is set. If all you have is $500 and that isn't going to change for the foreseeable future then a scope in the hand is worth two in the bush and I'd get the falcon over the 10x MOA SS in the same price range. However if you can scrape together a couple hundred more in relatively short order then I'd rather have a SS 10HD Mil/Mil or a 4-14 Vortex PST than the Falcon any day.

The falcon's aren't bad little scopes for the money, but I feel the Mil-based SS or PST offers a better value for dollar if you have the dollar to spend.

Thanks everybody im looking more to the swfa. I seen the 10hdswfa on the samplelist. I looked for reviews on the hd model and cant really find much on them. Is it the same scope and just have netter glass?
