Can't find this info on their website:

Is that a .223 or a 5.56 chamber (i.e.: on the 1 in 8" twist barrel)?

Also, what is the muzzle thread size?

Thanks!

Re: Question on Tikka .223 Tactical

They are marked 223 and I have no reason to believe mine is anything but. I have not fired any true 5.56 NATO thru it.
I honestly can't remember now if it is M14x1 or M18x1 threads but Tros USA had an adaptor that got me to 1/2x28 for the can. He will know the thread size.

The reason I ask is because a lot of AR15s are marked as .223s but actually have 5.56 NATO chambers.

Since the majority of my SHTF ammo stash is surplus 5.56 NATO, I want to find a bolt action rifle with muzzle threads that would be compatible with that ammo.

Could it have a "Wylde" chamber?

I like Tikkas, but if they aren't 5.56 compatible, I'm looking for something else.
