just got1 at a local show,marked 223. asked an ffl holder that i know has pretty deep knowledge. he said that he had done a deep dive on a t3x that he had. he found that if the gun (his tikka) has CIP dimensions that 5.56 in 223 marked is fine as the CIP dimensions are a bit longer and thus safe for 5.56.
question is does anyone know about the howa dimensions CIP vs SAMMI. my guess,not knowing,is howa maybe SAMMI. they make guns for US market (weatherby vanguard). but they sell more guns in AUS,i believe. would assume CIP as AUS is Brit influenced largely. so,pretty much no clue.
if anyone knows where or how to search that,LMK. i tried but weak googlefu.
getting the chamber cut to Wylde is also a option. thanks for any clues.
