I did it, just placed my order for a LRP-07 with 18" barrel and UBR stock. Dropped $7,100 but it will be the best investment I ever made cannot wait.

Cancel your order... I have one NIB sittin' right here I'll sell you for $6500 and I'll throw in some Magpul mags with it as well...

Shit... I'll throw in a case of FGMM match to boot...

Ha ha ha...for $7,100 he had better hope it's the "best investment he's ever made." Personally, I think he's about 5 brain cells shy of being shit nuts for not spending that on a GAP-10 and a damn nice piece of glass.

Um...... Holey crap.

Re: J P lrp-07

Wow, what did you buy? I have an LRP-07 on order as well with upgraded everything (including finish) and didnt spend anywhere near $7100.

Re: J P lrp-07

Perhaps he made a typo in the Price..

Re: J P lrp-07

I bought mine from JP, was $3500+/- like 2 years ago. I'm thinking a package with mount, glass, UBR, irons, couple of colors, etc.

Very nice rifle. Light, shoots very well. I put a USO SN-3s on mine.

One of my favorite .308 rifles.

Re: J P lrp-07

It includes a J P lrp-07, Swarovski Z6 scope, 10 Mags, mounts and a Pelican case. I also added upgrades to the lrp-07. I just want to say that I would never put anyone down for a choice that someone else made as far as a Rifle goes, GAP-10 are excellent rifles but to put me down or make comments as some of you have done shows that you have NO CLASS. This is my dream Rifle and my last so I wanted every option possible.

Well I for one think you made a great choice! Guess i'm a little biased though as I have one on order too. Im gonna order the case as well I think. Its a little pricey for what it is but every attempt I've seen online of people cutting their own foam looks like crap for the most part. Which means my attempt would look even worse!

Care to share what upgrades you did?

Do you own a GAP-10? Have you ever shot one?

Negative, but I plan to own one in the very near future. Had it been available when I purchased my P308, I probably would've purchased a GAP-10 instead of the POF but I don't claim to be the 'know-it-all' where any of the rifles mentioned are concerned.

Do I own a JP rifle? Negative but it all comes down to personal preference.

JP LRP-07 Base Price - $3299
GAP-10 Base Price - $2640

An S&B 5-25 atop the GAP-10 will still leave money to spare for whatever else he/she might want but hey, <span style="font-style: italic">when you know what you want...you know what you want</span> and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. I just happen to believe the JP LRP-07 is overpriced.

A lot of people dislike POF but I wouldn't trade mine for anything; personal preference which according the opinions of others that would also make <span style="font-style: italic"><span style="text-decoration: underline">ME</span></span> <span style="font-style: italic">'shit nuts'</span> but, hey...it's what I want.

Lighten up, Francis. Nobody is putting you down. But to post that you paid $7100 for something that retails for half that without an explanation of what you got, you had better expect some interesting comments.

And you bashed him for spending his money on a JP? Damn.

Nope, I didn't bash him. I said he is "shit nuts" and that I hope he made the best investment and my comments were based on him saying he spent $7,100. That was before he said the price also included an optic, etc.

Now, is that clarification enough for you or need I spell it out in crayon?

Re: J P lrp-07

One thing I noticed on this forum are people are quick to pass judgment if you don"t own a GAP or POF. Which I think are great rifles, Yes it is a lot of money but every single person I have talked to that owns one keeps buying more. Oh and yes I have shot a GAP-10, not my cup of tea.

I can certainly understand that. You'll have to post up some pics when you get it. What made you choose the Swaro over something like a Schmidt or Premier?

Re: J P lrp-07

Where I live I am not able to shoot at very long distances, not to mention I just do not have the patience or the eyes to shoot at very long ranges. I plan on doing some 3-gun shooting in the near future plus I have friends who own a Swarovski and love them. I added a J P short range sight to go with it, all I have to do is turn at a slight angle and can shoot up to 50 yards with open sights and still have the availability to go to 600 yards with the Swarovski at the same time.

Re: J P lrp-07

You'll really like your JP set up but you might have trouble finding 3-gun matches where you can use an optic on a 308. They're out there but you sometimes need to look hard to find 'em.

Re: J P lrp-07

Yes you could not be more correct, this will be a problem but thank god I have lots of vacation and personal time. I guess I will be more of a ZOMBIE killer than anything else. I have to say there are a lot of good people in this forum and they know there stuff. Killshot if you read this I just want to say that you are right about one thing who cares what anyone thinks. We spend our money on our dreams so we can be happy and my friend you have an awesome RIFLE.
