10/22 into a AUG

Re: 10/22 into a AUG

Your projects are certainly different, who makes the copy of the Tangodown bipod? Are any of the other airsoft grade accessories suitable for a .22? I have seen the cheap optics and they leave a lot to be desired and would never get used on a gun I would want to count on but the other stuff has possibilities on a plinker.

Re: 10/22 into a AUG

sorry Im pretty ripped right now, do you have chinese copies of the tangodown bipod for $35 each or were you talking about the chinese optics?

I really want the real thing but before I pay $200 for a bipod a knock off on a .22 would be a good trial run.

This is what happens when I stay out of the rimfire section for a few weeks.

How can something made for a toy, be suitable for accesorizing an honest to God tool? Because its cheap? Fuck me running!

I have heard of gold plating a turd, but this rash of turd plating gold is insane.

Upper left corner:
Sniper's Hide: For the Serious Tactical Marksman

To the original poster, you started the thread, don't be upset when people chime in that your project is a monkey fucking a football.

On the bright side, it'll probably make you real popular with all the 12 year olds on the range.

Re: 10/22 into a AUG

These multiple airsoft toy threads have degraded a site I used to visit often. I click on the rimfire section hoping to see intelligent threads full of information that can further my marksmanship. Instead, I see subject matter that is at best, aimed at 14 year olds who can't bribe someone into buying them a copy of Playboy.

If posting this drivel gets your rocks off, I'm thrilled its worked for you but I suspect you'd have more people impressed if you simply took some glossy 8x10" prints of this stuff to the local elementary school at lunch time.

Re: 10/22 into a AUG

So defcon what is that now, 3 or 4 threads that you have started about these airsoft toys that have turned into different people telling you what a complete moron you are, and you are on the wrong site.... Ever going to get the hint???

Re: 10/22 into a AUG

Where the fuck are you cocksuckers coming up with this bullshit???

First off:

There is nothing moronic about dress kits for guns. There are lots of people that pay good money for kits to turn 10/22s into MG42s, M249SAWs, G36s, etc. And half you "serious marksmen" fags are probably the same guys that think a Rem 700 cloned into a M40 rig is awesome. Guess what, those are guns being faked into something they're not.

Why don't you guys start calling up GAP and tell them what morons they are for making replicas.

Second:

There are plenty of auxiliary accessories that are made for airsoft and work just fine on real guns. Yes, optics are a pretty poor example, but simple, non-critcal parts can be as cheap as they can be for a $150 gun.

Not everyone is stupid enough to put a $1037 ACOG on a plinker, for them the $45 TruGlo is more than good enough.

Keep it up defcon, your 22 dress kits are neat, and you probably do more handiwork modifying them and know more about them than most of these online jokers with their "serious" guns.
