I have a Remington 700 in 308 with a 1 in 12 twist. I have a box of Sierra HPBT in both 168gr and 175gr and am looking for some recommendations on loads for it. I've read on here that some people really like Varget powder but I’m up for just about anything. I have used IMR in my 223 and get good results out of it. Any help you guys can give is greatly appreciated.

Not sure of your bbl length, but here are a couple. YMMV but will get you close. I have found that many of the remmy 700's are pretty close and repeatable across the board.

168 SMK
44.8 or 45.5 varget (two nodes)
RP Brass, WLR primer
2.810
2670fps out of a 20", 2712 from a 22"

175 SMK
44.5 Varget
RP, WLR, 2.800
2566fps out of a 20"
All at 5000 ft
