Re: what is it call
FWIW,
SOTECH is the inventor / patent holder of this product.
The A5 Model would likely work fine with a Mcree stock.
(I've seen others with them mounted.)
The plate is held on with Velcro that has industrial strength adhesive on it.

Sniper Skid Plate, A5 Size, Coyote Brown (SSPA5-CB)
It is the answer to the problem of shooting on a barricade and having to use a beanbag or a makeshift cushion to protect your rifle.
Made in the USA
The Sniper Skid Plate (SSP) is a 7" X 6" Cordura pad with a non-skid exterior that attaches with Velcro™ to the forestock of your rifle. By having the padded Cordura® “Sleeve” on the stock, you are able to place your rifle on a hard barricade and shoot accurately. The Sniper Skid Plate (SSP) absorbs the shock and counters the physics of the rifle recoil.
In addition to barricade shots, it is also designed to be suspended from a overhead point such as a window frame or a helicopter door frame. Maritime and aerial shooting is on the rise and this is one way to help make a crucial shot.
