Should I feel bad?

So I recently acquired a Remington 700 SPS Tactical .308 with a Harris bipod, Timney trigger set at 2.5 pounds and Counter Sniper Crusader 3-9x42mm Illuminated scope.

I needed a little more magnification (lol) so I pulled the CS scope off and ended up trading it for a beautiful condition 1942 Lee Enfield No. 1 MK III SMLE with excellent bore and correct bayonet.

The guy that I traded with said the reviews on the scope were "hit or miss" and mostly good so he at least spent five minutes on google but I just can't help but feel a little guilty.

Caveat emptor... He did at least read a few reviews, he just chose poorly.

Re: Should I feel bad?

If he thinks its good, then by all means let him have it. We all have to learn somehow, some harder than others.

Re: Should I feel bad?

That depends...
If you can cycle, aim, and shoot bullseye's 20 times in a minute with that SMLE, you did good. Yes, that is the standard for the SMLE. 20 rounds a minute in the taarget. We'll call the bull 10" for record at 100M, you know center chest.

We will await your pictures to see just how well worth it the trade was. I say this because anyone can do that with a scoped bolt gun..I mean shoot, 20 rounds in 1 minute into 10", too easy

Re: Should I feel bad?

Maybe the guy was one of those pathetic friend types? One who gives away valuable goods and services as long as the giftee will play with him?

Seems like someone is about to be very displeased with 'Sportsman's Guide' bullshit!

I didn't.

Re: Should I feel bad?

If I got it for nothing I would have used it for target practice instead of passing it on. Running it over with my powerstroke would be a close second to shooting at it.

Sneeky way to throw a for sale ad in the pit, and without the required number of post, tisk tisk...

If he is happy then you should be happy.A mans junk is always somebody's treasure.

Re: Should I feel bad?

I'll remember all you ass-clowns rationalizing him screwing someone over with trading the guy (who was obviously clueless about that P.O.S.) a Counter Sniper scope for a nice vintage rifle next time you posters decide to get on your moral high-horse. The title of his thread is "Should I Feel Bad?" IF YOU DIDN'T FEEL BAD, YOU WOULDN'T HAVE MADE A F$CKING THREAD ABOUT IT.

Oh the irony..... Some of you that have told him it was cool to do this have been the posters that have been the most self-righteous in other threads.

SMH... I am disappoint.

Edited the post as that was not my intention.

Thank you! Your post removed any and all "seller's remorse" I had. You made me realize something... since he read MULTIPLE reviews online about it and decided to make the trade anyway it's his own fault.

What have you guys been doing to this guy? Sure sounds like you ripped him up multiple times in the past and left him a little jaded lol
