Funny that you post this. Saw two of their jets flying up and down the Hudson River while at work today. Come to find out later on that they were checking out the airspace over NYC and Westchester County NY in preparation for their official arrival here for fleet week at the end of May.
I've seen them a couple of times at airshows and although the routine is generally the same, they never fail to impress.
Edit: Picture not taken by me but is from this date.
I took these at the Reno Air races in 2010... It was an amazing place to see the Blue Angels, because you were right up close and the pilots (sorry, Aviators) were walking around the grandstands and pits when they weren't flying.
I've always wondered what it would be like to be one of those guys. To be that good at something that cool...I can't imagine the amount of work and skill this takes. The fact that these guys make it look so easy speaks volumes.
I wonder how much experience is required before you stop crapping yourself flying like this, especially @ 2:53 in the video.
An interesting little tid bit of info I found out... they don't wear g-suits. Due to the position of the stick in the aircraft and how they fly, the inflation and deflation of the g-suits would throw off their maneuvers. That makes the stuff they do even that much more cool.

Someday I'd like to see the Thunderbirds, too.

Notice the emblem on the head gear...names tags....and where these gentlemen were pulled from. I went to school, military IDE, with a Marine F18 SH pilot last year...great dude. They're good at dropping iron on Taliban as well
