I am wondering if there is a good foaming bore cleaner that is safe, non-toxic, Bio-D...etc! I like the idea of the foaming for I can foam up the locking lugs, chamber and muzzle break to clean stuff out. Other seem to swear by a foaming one. I am trying to get away from all hazardous chems.

Re: Foaming Bore Cleaner that is Safe?

I've been using Sharp Shoot R Precision Products Wipe-Out bore cleaner for about 2 years now and it works good for me. I thread the muzzel brake off and soak it seperate from the rifle in the foam. I still use a nylon bore brush and sometimes let soak overnight. Stuff literally has little to no ordor. I use their Carb-Out cleaner to soak the carbon loose, however, it has quite a bit more odor. I do lightly oil the barrel only if I intend to not use the firearm for awhile. Not sure if it is totally non-toxic.
