I bought a Vortex Razor so I am looking for bases now. I see 2 companies that make qd 35mm systems. American Defense or Larue. Both cost about the same, the American Defense Recon is right around $169 and then LaRue is $195. For those that have used both, is the LaRue any better or is it about the same in terms of quality and reliabilty. The American Defense looks heavier.

Re: 35mm QD base

The US optics QD base is another option. I just ordered one for my scope as it is the only mount with the rings far enough apart to fit my T-pal scope. If it is built anything like my USO scopes it should be one beefy piece!

I ordered the LaRue 50bmg mount previously, but sent it back because my scope wouldn't fit it. I really liked the quality though.
