Ordered this FailZero Kit for my RRA Lar-15 Elite Op2 and the hammer in the kit is mucho different from the one in my gun. Any ideas? Thanxs. dwm

Re: Is This An AR15 Hammer?

Just looked at the RRA specs you have the RRA two stage in your gun. You dont have to change the trigger to run the BCG. The coating on the trigger makes it a little smother pull and keeps carbon from building up on the hammer in extreme cases but your trigger is better than a standard trigger with the fail zero trigger.

Re: Is This An AR15 Hammer?

The BCG fits/functions when I cycle the action. I plan to have gunsmith check the headspace before I livefire the new bcg, just to be on the safe side. My RRA Op2 has a 2-stage trigger. Thanxs. dwm

Re: Is This An AR15 Hammer?

I did the same thing with my RRA and had no problem. My stock trigger was the RRA NM. In fact I am still running the same FZ BCG and its been 3 years since I made the change. Really made a difference running it suppressed.

Re: Is This An AR15 Hammer?

Got a reply from Brownell's Tech and its an early AR15 Colt hammer. According to the FailZero site the BCG and hammer are treated with nickel boron to operate without lubrication, easier to clean, etc. Thanxs. dwm
