Rob over at RWS had one on consignment till I purchased it yesterday. LOL

10-42x80mm

Somebody said the 80mm objective can get in the way with elevation, I think.

I suppose I'll have to get a special base with probably no cant in it so leave enough room to twist up the elevation.

Re: who has experience with a USO SN-9?

I needed a custom base for my Windrunner when I installed a 3.2-22x SN-9 years ago.

Looks kind of silly trying to make it go on... LOL...

Please ignore the boxes... I'm about to move.

IMHO those AR risers are of poor material and another part inbetween the action and the rail is just another variable that can effect accuracy. For a system like yours you need to optimize all parts and solutions.
Get a custom base bade up by Murphys precision or some other metal specialist. They make bases in both Titanium and stainless steel.

Yeah, I'm having one made it looks like. I was having trouble getting the right riser and, with all invested, I don't want a... fix... I want this done correctly. My gunsmith said he can just make one from scratch.

The rifle is shooting GREAT!!!! Shot it out to 1827yds on Saturday... WOW.... I have the old NSX on it and, you can't see your misses from there... we put a forward observer down close to the target since I was still trying to get dope on the rifle but, with the ballistic app. I have, I only was 1/2moa high and came down that 1/2 moa and started drilling the steel over and over... only 44.5moa up from a 100yd zero at 1827yds.... and was only up 19moa from a 100yd zero to spank a 10" plate at 1056yds.

Re: who has experience with a USO SN-9?

1/4MOA - there's really no other option. It's an old design from USO's standpoint and they haven't updated with mil options. My guess is they produce very few annually, probably why mine took 10 months to deliver. But it is a scope like no other and definitely fills a small niche for some folks. I'd easily buy another if there were mil turret/reticle options. Yeah, I'm a mil snob.

Re: who has experience with a USO SN-9?

ME ME ME... I'm one of those guys!!! LOL I'm currently having a steel custom base made for my boom stick... can't wait to take it out.... I'll report when I do.

At 42x, you have the SAME field of view with an NSX at 22x ( you can see 20moa hold over at 42x ).....that's something, IMHO. of course there is that whole 80mm objective thing.. lol.

I did some talking with Arnold over at USO when figuring out how to get this thing mounted...

So basically you can adjust the click values on this thing. It has external turrets so, you can space the front and back base to adjust your click values. He said 7.5" between the base center to center gives MOA come ups.

Think I will attach a laser to the rifle and move the base around till I get something I can live with. I think the issue may be that you only have set spaces when using a standard type rail so options may not be that many.

The scope turrets don't have mil or moa values on them so, you don't see whole numbers every 4th click... you see every click value on the turret and it's 48 clicks per revolution. I'm told you can go from .5moa click values to way out past 1/8th moa if you want to but, mine isn't mounted yet so, I'm waiting to figure it out myself.

I love jacking with stuff like this so, I'm excited about setting it up to get the max click values in come ups and keep full travel out to subsonic range.

...and when it's not on the rifle you can use it at the plate in your local softball league.

I've always thought they looked like the natural evolution of the old scopes on Sharps rifles.
