Are there any? I want something with a pistol grip, folding stock, uses AI mags, 700 action, doesn't weigh 4 tons

Re: Lightweight chassis system

I held a tac21. It wasnt a ton and pretty balanced. Im looking over a few because im looking for one for a new build

Re: Lightweight chassis system

KRG whiskey 3 5 lbs. 4oz.

Folding mech locks up tighter than a fiance when you mention a prenup!!

Re: Lightweight chassis system

I know the mcrees with the folding option is 4.4 lbs, i think the xlr with folding option is 4.3 lbs. I could be wrong about the xlr.

Re: Lightweight chassis system

The XLR chassis looks really nice. Looks like what I'm after. Thanks.

If weight is a concern, ask for the Standard buttstock instead of the Tactical. It's just as comfortable and adjustable(better looking too, IMO) but considerably lighter than the Tactical.

Re: Lightweight chassis system

I'm a fan of the KRG W3C, but maybe have a look at the Eberlestock M11 Chassis System.

Re: Lightweight chassis system

That KRG chassis is nice, might have to check out a fixed model.

Re: Lightweight chassis system

What's your budget and do you need a top rail?

XLR is a great choice.

Eberlestock stealth and Manners MCS-TF also come to mind for lighter stocks.

Even if they're heavier I like the AICS and Cadex stocks too.

Regards

Re: Lightweight chassis system

Isn't there a carbon lightweight model of the XLR?

I don't see it on the website but I remember seeing one with a lightweight action block and a carbon fiber hand guard.

Re: Lightweight chassis system

No budget really, just whatever, an XLR with a shorter tube on the front would be great

Re: Lightweight chassis system

I recall the Eberlestock being advertised at 2.5lb which is pretty light if that's the true "fighting weight"

I forget what the Ashbury Prec. Ord stock came in at for the lightweight hunting version but it was very light and like the other stuff that APO makes, it is pretty damn nice. $$$ but really nice.
