Re: Beam scale

do a search for scott parker he has tuned redding's for 160.00 i think sensitive to a tenth of a grain.

Re: Beam scale

So far as I know, all of our current beam scales are home grown.
Virtually all electronic scales are Chinese.

My 10-10 comes untuned by Scott Parker from RCBS and it's "sensitive" to 1/10 grain.....and that's not me just guessing.

All the scale anyone needs.........

Re: Beam scale

Reports of the new RCBS scales being made out of the country by Scott Parker...
supposedly they are pure crap and country of origin stamped on the bottom.

Re: Beam scale

just talked to scott parker this week the new rcbs 10-10's are made in mexico stamped on the bottom of the box and can not be tuned and are not as good as the older ones.

Re: Beam scale

Yep; need to find an older 10-10. I got mine roughly 10 years ago from E-Bay. But finding a used one now that predates the move to Mexico might be difficult.

Re: Beam scale

The Ohaus M5 is commonly seen on Ebay and this is the best one to get from what Scott Parker said.

Re: Beam scale

Lyman M5 tuned by Scott Parker along with the TargetMaster Trickler.

And yes, that is a Denver insturments MXX-123 digital in the background.

Extremely happy with both.

Re: Beam scale

I have a tuned Redding scale as well. It works great. I've had one other balance bean scale and two electronics. This one beats them all. It will read one kernel of powder every time.
