Strauss.

Went to buy some jeans last week and when I got to the store my usual buy, Levi's, were going at $48.00 per pair. For just $60.00 you could get the same jeans with preworn holes. Remember when jeans were actually blue, and it took about 10 washings to get them even wearable.

As I stood there with my sphincter quivering, anticipateing the insertion, my eyes wandered to the left. There, was a table full of a brand I had never heard of before, Red Camel, so I picked up a pair. They seemed decent, in fact almost identicle to Levi's, with one exception, the price...only $21.00. tried them on...they fit even better than the Levis. Being of a slender build Wranglers never hung on me very well.

Bought a coupe pair, took them home and wore them, went back last night for another pair.

I've never heard of Red Camel but I've found the same thing with Levis. I switched to Lee carpenter jeans, straight boot cut jeans and cargo jeans a long time ago. Cheaper and far more comfortable cut.

Side note: Does anyone here freeze their jeans to clean them?

I've always worn Old Navy jeans, ever since I was a little kid and they were practically indestructible. Now though they're so thin and crappy they get holes worn in them from me going about my daily adult life of walking occasionally and sitting the rest of the time. It's kinda sad when a pair would last me close to a year as a kid when I'd be running and jumping and climbing and doing crazy stuff outside all day long every single day, to falling apart in a few months of casual wear. I'm still trying to find someone who still makes decent jeans.

Ordered 4 pair of Carhart work pants about a month ago. Label says Assembled in Mexico fron American componets. So no there not Made in China. Funny thing is they are still $40.00 ea. so no real savings there.

Since I have to do a lot of moving, squatting, kneeling (a.k.a. working), my jeans need to be tough. I've found Dickies to be long-lasting and comfy, as well as cheaper than Carharrts, which are my next choice. They're made in Mexico, which is fine with me...jobs in that country means fewer illegals here.

I will never give a dime to Levi Strauss again. Their liberal anti-gun agenda, bag-of-dicks commercials, and overpriced made-in-China crap pisses me off. But, hey, to any of you who like that kind of stuff, go for it.

I wear Wranglers that are $20 a piece, and made in México. I don't think they can be beat for the money.

Dickies double knee jeans. Worke great and are comfortable. hold up great. They were issued to all us HVAC guys at a previous company I worked for. Never had any issues and I worked/ ran the sheet metal shop and did service calls on roofs as well as constant kneeling on concrete and asphalt to work on units...

I wear "Round House" double front work pants . They are very similar to Carhart's only no rivets and I can get them online for 32 bucks a pair with free shipping . The great part is that they are made in America and seem to be holding up even better than my old Carhart's .
