meopix iPhone adaptor

Anyone have hands on experience with this kit? I'm interested. Especially for the fact you can show your shooting/hunting real time (via face time).

I'm sure this is not a new product but I stumbled upon it and figured I'd ask for feedback b4 I pull the trigger.

This is actually a new product this year from Meopta. In talking with Reinheardt, who is the GM over at Meopta USA and who has been developing this piece, it was discussed that the MeoPix adaptor will only be available when you purchase their new S2 spotter or the Meostar binos. Following what Swaro did with their sure shot adapter, the MepPix will only fit Meopta products.

It's a pretty sweet idea and it works really well. I was able to play with it when I went out the the factory last month. It is very well designed. The phone fits very well in the adapter and the adapter fits very well to the eyepiece. The unit fits so well in fact that you can walk with the entire unit and be sure that it stays in tack (i would dummy cord the adapter to the tripod just in case)

He's got some pretty good ideas for the iPad as well. You would be able to take photos from the phone, send it to the pad, and do all of you editing right there in the field.

According to the SWFA description, it will work with 42mm eye peices. I am sure the is some variation in exterior diameter of various 42mms.
I would be interested to see if it works with other scopes too.

Maybe SWFA can try it out on a few and let us know, that'd be cheaper/easier than usall buying, trying, and many returning.

Thanks for the information. I however use a leupold spotting scope and the eye piece with the rubber sleeve runs 43.8 mm and 41.65 mm off... I'm curious if it'd work with their 42 mm model or if I could mod it to work... I love the idea of collecting real time data and reviewing it.

I like the idea because you could use the phone as a screen so you could easily spot your hits without getting up from the rifle or switch it to video mode to record all your shots.

Are you running one of the folded light path Leupold spotters? Please let us know if you decide to test this out, it would be much appreciated

I run a mid priced luppy...

Ventana 20-60x80 (Straight)

I may bite the bullet and order one up... Just waiting to see if anybody has first hand knowledge with this kit.

Great Idea, i have done that many of times, i fought missing great photos of Bucks and LR shots because it was too hard find the sweet spot.

There should be an alternative... A universal mount built right would make a lot of money for some company to expand on.

Just a thought....:

This could be easily "homemade" to fit your individual needs with any one of the various hard shell iPhone cases and a correctly sized scope cap.

How about one to adapter to your scope...if it could hold the recoil be fun to watch or see through the eyes of a sniper
