I know the chances are slim to none but does anyone know where they might have one new or used.

Thanks

Re: Where to find Sako TRG 22 .260 Remington

Euro Optics is all out of em last I checked. I too was a little late to jump on that opportunity.

Re: Where to find Sako TRG 22 .260 Remington

Last I emailed EuroOptics they said the TRG-22 in .260 Remington was a one time deal only, NOT to be repeated. That makes the value of those rifles pretty high.

But I also know that the SHWW guys up in the Pacific Northwest are having stellar success rebarreling their rifles to whatever caliber they want with Benchmark barrels.

There's more than one way to skin a cat ...

Re: Where to find Sako TRG 22 .260 Remington

It will be hard to find now and expensive rebarreling would be the best way to go hopefully they will decide to start making them agian if the sold fast but we will see

Re: Where to find Sako TRG 22 .260 Remington

Only 200 were made and they are awesome shootes. So, the odds of one coming up for public sale are slim, but you never know. I got lucky. Mine is #100.

As previously mentioned, your best bet will probably be to find a used .308 and have it re-barreled.

Re: Where to find Sako TRG 22 .260 Remington

If you are patient you can get a new one in either 260 or 6.5 Creedmoor

Are you sure about this?

Yes, i'd be interested in knowing your source of information on that.

Re: Where to find Sako TRG 22 .260 Remington

I have a 22 on order with EuroOptics and I'm planning on re-barreling it to 6XC. I haven't picked a smith yet... I'm thinking of MTGuns, APA, or GAP... whoever has the shortest backlog wins.

Re: Where to find Sako TRG 22 .260 Remington

#190 and I love it

I would add Beanland to your list. Here's mine that he did Beanland Built 6BR TRG-22

Thanks! I'll definitely give him a call. I didn't know he was doing this for the TRGs.

Re: Where to find Sako TRG 22 .260 Remington

Only Euro Optic had them in a .260. Hopefully they will do it again. I thought they had most of them pre sold. I would think they might wanna try it again. Besides I need to add one to my TRG collection as I already have a TRG 22 .308, TRG 42 .300 Win Mag, and TRG 338 LM.

Yep, I have 6XC in another gun and it's been awesome with the 115 DTACs. It will shoot flatter out to 1000 than my TRG .338 with 250g projectiles... but with no recoil

I like the ergonomics of the TRG better so I'm going to have a little shoot-off with my AICS based rifle and the loser will be relegated to a back up gun role.

Re: Where to find Sako TRG 22 .260 Remington

wow ... guess I got lucky ... purchased mine a couple months ago from eurooptics. It must have been one of the last ones.

Re: Where to find Sako TRG 22 .260 Remington

If you can get your hands on a TRG and want a 260, give a call up to Benchmark Barrels. I have rebarreled my 308 with a 6.5CM and Benchmark has put many other barrels on the TRG platforms. Talk to Chris when/if you call them.

You will like the trg XC. I have another on a Stiller TAC 30 , MV contour Krieger, finish 24" in an AIC's. I did a 6XC trg with a used 22 I purchased off the board here because I like the trg ergonomic's. I used a Bartlein 5r med palma finish 26", both using PT&G reamer with free bore I wanted to shoot 105-115's and for no neck turn with Norma. A big + is the XC feeds 100% in the trg and all SA's for that matter. I got in on the EO 260 buy so good there.

Re: Where to find Sako TRG 22 .260 Remington

My .260 TRG from EuroOptic is waiting at my FFL for me to get back. SOOOOOO excited!

Re: Where to find Sako TRG 22 .260 Remington

I picked one of the 260 TRG's last summer and am very happy with it. Until this past weekend I have not had any real opportunity to get it out past 300 yards. In the nutshell, I've found that it was an easy to work a load up for with help/advice from the gang here, has outstanding ergonomics and a trigger that is second to none.
On another note, I participated in my first F-Class shoot this past weekend at a mid-range event (500 yards). My gear consisted of the sako bipod and a rear sandbag. My scores were 189 4x and 189 2x, for an agg. of 378 6x. 260 TRG was a pleasure to shoot.

Re: Where to find Sako TRG 22 .260 Remington

Im sure Sako will do another run. Why wouldnt they? I understand only making a few at first to see what the market was like, but surely from the huge success of the first run, they would want to do it again. What company is in business not to make money? I dont know what goes into tooling up for production at Sako, but to me it would be common sense for a second batch.

I could be wrong... but it does not seem to make sense not to.

I hope you're right...but that's a VERY American perspective you're coming from. Not so sure the Finns think the same way. I'd also like a '22 in 260, and had no idea that was a limited run.

+1 I will not miss out on it the second time around!

Re: Where to find Sako TRG 22 .260 Remington

I have one that is crazy accurate. Still interested in one?

Re: Where to find Sako TRG 22 .260 Remington

I am having my TRG-22 rebarreled into a 260 as we speak, with a Bartlein barrel. Mark at Short Action Customs is doing mine.
