Sidearms & Scatterguns milt sparks versa max question

Do any of you have any experience carrying a 3inch 1911 in the 4 inch versa max. I have and carry both and would like to use one holster for both. they told me that it will certainly work but if carry the 3 inch a whole lot, the leather will start to close up and form to it.

anyone had this experience or know of anyone that has?

FWIW I have worn a V-max almost every day for the better part of 13 yrs. I only buy full size holsters - ie my G26 rides in the same holster as my G17, BHP in the same as my Government.

On the other hand, if you are patient non full size V-maxes turn up with reasonable regularity, and generally garner less interest than full size models.

I've carried my G26 in my G19 VM2 quite often and it's still as sturdy at the bottom as ever. Over a long time-frame the non-supported barrel end may breakdown, but I don't see it being a big issue. If anything it would just make re-holstering a bit more difficult possibly with the longer barrel when getting to the softer leather. If that makes sense in my rambling.
