Are these legal to buy? I know this guy trying to get rid of 2 for about 1000 a piece?

Re: PEQ 2A

While they are legal to have, they are almost sure to be stolen military property. They cannot be sold (by the mfg or dealer) to other than a Mil/LE agency. It's POSSIBLE that hey came from a LE agency that ignored the end user document not to resell. That said, the MFG will not do any repairs or offer any support whatsoever to a non Mil/LE owner.

If you need an IR laser, get one of the civvie legal units from TNVC. Warranty, supported, more than usable for an individual.

Unless of course the seller is someone like me who bought 2 of these back in 2000 before the civilian restriction. I have spoken to the dealer who sold it to me and they will service it.
(I am not the person selling the units listed in this post.)
