5R 1-11 1/4 twist which projectile does yours like

Having a hard time getting my Rem700 to group. Did all the basic checks. Was looking for some input on what projectiles does yours like? Mine is a Remington 700 in .308
I just bought some 168gr rounds to test with.Ill report back once I make it to the range.

Mine hated 155's. I shoot 175's and it shoots very well

Mine loves 175 smk's over 43.6 varget.

Have you tried the Lapua 155 Scenars? They have a great BC. My 308 loves them. But I hate the price.

For steel banging I use the 175 SMK's

I have shot 175 SMK, 168 SMK, 168 Hornady Match and 165 HPBT (Sierra's hunting bullet) loads outta my dads 5R all with good results nothing above 1/2 MOA. The 165's have had the smallest group at 100 yards and all loads were very consistent.

175 SMK/Nosler 168 Custom Comp.

Mine like 175 SMK with Lapua brass, CCI BR primers, and 44.5-45.0 Varget. Very consistent with 0.5-0.75" groups at 100 yds.

Tried 155 Scenars with several powders and multiple loads and never got them to group.

168 SMK, 168 Amax, and 175 SMK for me. I can get 1/2 MOA groups with either one with several different powders. If I were load only one bullet it would be the 175 SMK. It's not picky about seating depth or speed.

Anyone have luck with the 178 Amax bullets? I'm struggling with it.

My 20" Rem700 5R seems to like 175 SMKs. over the 168's

Add another largly stock 5R which loves the 175gr SMKs.

In fairness, I haven't tried anything lighter than the 168s yet.

I guess that's what I get for not doing my homework. Looking @ the box there were the 150s. I still have not made it out the range but I am hoping that the 168s do well. I may pick up a box of 175s on the way home to test with also. Thank you much fellas for your input so far.

Mine is 1 in 11.27 and everything I have tried so far shoots well, 155g-190g vlds.
