Re: Environmental Police shut down ice cream stand
it's a good thing that they're there, so that we are protected from all the evils and other bad things in the world. I'm sure that's what the 'officer' says to himself every day while looking in the mirror.
Re: Environmental Police shut down ice cream stand
State of Ma. has Environmental Police. Sworn officers with powers of arrest. True LEO's. Met some, first rate guys. But they have a title not everyone sees in the same way.
And I guarantee you they weren't lecturing people on Al Gore's brilliance or handing out Bill McKibbon white papers.
They are out there... and most do really good work not far removed from game wardens, etc. But shutting down ice cream stands (or lemonade stands) seems to me like a waste of a perfectly good LEO.
Re: Environmental Police shut down ice cream stand
'Edward Lambert, commissioner of the Department of Conservation and Recreation, said the stand was closed after it was discovered construction had been done without local or state permits."
