An eon ago when I was a kid in Hunterdon Co, NJ I used to whack 40 os so each year, but with a .22 RF. They can REALLY get large. As well as do an amazing amount of damage to crops.
We have our little ground squirrels out here in MT and the occasional prairie dog...NONE remotely as large as those guys!

I start leave in about two weeks! I can't wait to get back home (Ohio) to try out my new chuck rig. I've had it for almost two years and haven't had the opportunity to use it yet. I'm doubtful of the 500+ shots at this point but should be good to go out to 400. We'll see!
Judging by the "look" in his eye, he seems to have encountered a high velocity projectile causing some fluid dynamic issues. We don't have many of those here. Looks like a lot of fun! Nice shooting.<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Killswitch engage</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Caught this one eyeballing me......

Nice shootin man! I saw a wood chuck roamin around with the cows tonight. If only I knew I wouldn't have had to chase cows back in I would have went 9mm commando on that thing.

thanks and i hope you don't loose any cows to steppin in the holes. have had to put a few down from broken legs and hips.
Never lost a beef cow that way....despite being the dumbest animal on the planet next to sheep, it's my speculation they live their lives at too slow of a pace to actually hurt themselves in a chuck hole.
Horses on the other hand, can't resist running for the sake of running from time to time...and they WILL step in a chuck hole if there's one to step in.
Found a hole the other day with the disc mover in some DEEP grass where they had excavated a hole you could hide a bath tub in. Around the perimeter of the bottom of that hole are 4 or 5 den holes.
Two high level targets eliminated today from The Bath Tub Hole....been after these mutherfuckers a while.
The Boy did a good job with my M4 and eotech making two fast shots....the first center mass and the bastard got back under ground....but we found blood and heard it snarlin' and chewin' on itself down there.
