Need help ASAP plz

I have a Remington 700 AAC-SD I like the hogue stock but I want to upgrade

A local guy has a stock for sale that he said came off a police model for only $100
I want it if it's a HS precision with the full length aluminum block

Plz help

What stock is it?

Looks to me like the HS Precision from an LTR rifle. Good deal for $100.

Just ask him if it's got the aluminum block, if he took the pictures he's held the stock without an action in it, you can't miss the aluminum bedding block if it's there.

Is the LTr the police model?
Is it better and more sturdy than the hogue ?

Yes. Significantly better. No one informed would choose the Hogue over the LTR.

That is an HS precision for an LTR.
The LTR is also a 20" barrel. You MIGHT have to sand out the barrel channel a bit, as the LTR is a medium profile vs the varmint profile of the SPS.

Well worth the 100, they usually go for 200.

"That" appears to be the rear portion of the aluminum bedding block. The bedding block is one peiece and is machined to fit the specific action, in your case a remington short action. The stock material is molded around the bedding block and usually looks like that.

Good stock as stated above and a very good price. Just so you know you may want to check the fit of the stock to your rifle if you have any accuracy issues with it. I have seen more than a few needing to be skim bedded, its no big deal just a little heads up. Before you go and bed it because of what I have said install the barrled action and torque the screws to 65 LBIN and shoot it. I have also seen many do very well, just luck of the draw between the action being true or the vee block being true.

He had it advertised as a hogue WITH Bottom metal for $100
It was hard to tell in the pic so My idiot self asked are you sure it's a hogue?

Then I called him and he said " I just looked it up and don't wanna sell it anymore thanks tho"
So I just kept talking to him and finally talked him into selling just the stock for $100 still a good deal IMO

I was talking about the line running down towards the grip but it's probably just cosmetic/no big deal

Yeah it's nothing major

I've actually decided to just resell it make a few bucks and buy a Jewell trigger !!
