Please pardon my stupidity but I can't figure out how to send a PM to EMOUSE. Does anyone have any feedback about the Styria Arms metal floorplate for the Steyr SSG-69 rifles yet and what their availability is?

Re: Styre SSG-69 floorplate

I may be wrong but I think that I remember reading here on Sniper's Hide that Emouse has been out of it for a good while. Apparently, he did not like the way things turned out with the manufacturer in Austria.
On this side of the pond, our own ogonzalez13 (Sniper's Hide member) is working on a replacement aluminum trigger guard/mag well for the SSG 69 rifles - using FACTORY magazines. He should be back soon when his prototype will have been machined.

Re: Styre SSG-69 floorplate

Thanks for the help guys, i have received responces from both Emouse and Styria Arms and will let you know what transpires when I know something.

Re: Styre SSG-69 floorplate

Please do advise. I couldn't get a response from emouse either.

Thanks!

Steyr has changed their design btw - steel bushings are now in place at the screw holes. They will exchange with you at no cost - still not a long term quality solution - but something.

Re: Styre SSG-69 floorplate

I bailed out of having anything to do with Styria,...the guy was first evasive, then started talking rubbish before finally asking for 12,000 euro up front for an unseen and unproven item. Needless to say I didn't invest.

Its fairly simple to complete this project and had I known what a waste of time styria was going to be I would have completed this myself.

Re: Styre SSG-69 floorplate

Hi to all!

I am new at your forum but has anyone a concrete solution to this conversion? I have send an email to Styria but no answer so far.... so cross finger! It seems on the vid that it works pretty good.

Cheers

Well, its looking promising !

Styria have accepted my order. I have been sent an invoice to pay - off to the bank to sort that today.

Only downside is that because I am in UK, I have to pay the tax on it ( an extra 120usd approx. ) This applies anywhere in UK but I believe you US guys should get it tax free.

I am in Brazil for another 10 days so, it might be waiting for me when I get home !!
