after waiting 3 weeks to pay it off *almost $1,300* and two weeks on shipping i finally got my rem 700 308 5-r mil spec

three more paychecks and i'll spoil myself with a scope and a bipod aswell.

i havn't decided yet, still speaking with the local gun store guy, fiddling around with idea of shooting glasses etc, for sight issues.

Congratulations, it's a great gun. I love mine. It's as much of a shooter as everyone says. I put the Super Sniper 5-20 on mine about a week ago and took it out to 1000 yards the first time out with the scope.

I put 4 shots within about 4 to 6 inches of hitting a clay at 1k with some bench rest shooters spotting for me and they were surprised to see a factory remington shoot that good.

I shot about 40 rounds of FGMM 175 that day and after the 1k shots I dialed back down to zero and shot a group at 100 with my last three rounds to check the RTZ on the scope and shot this group.

These were shots 198, 199, and 200 through the gun without cleaning other than a bore snake and wiping down the bolt after shooting.

I second this, most are mouth breathers!
